Match Report
The first game was probably the best I have seen the guys perform since Steve and I have been at the helm, with the hard work at training paying dividends. The 5-0 win was evidence of this. The passing and movement was, dare I say it reminiscent of a 'Forest' team of the 70's .
Having said that, the guys got a bit complacent for the second game as we succumbed to a 1-0 defeat, although I have to say to one of the more bizarre goals scored this side of Old Trafford. (Did I just say 'Old Trafford' on our website). Although there was no shortage of good old fashioned grit and determination from the team, with an excellent debut from our new player Michael.
Well Done to all!!!

Latest News
Hello Everyone,
Here we go again, a familiar story at the weekend,(8th Feb) yes the poor run of bad weather put paid to our fixture at Penyffordd. Hence I haven't had chance to put my match reporting skills to the test this year(That's if I ever had any). But, we did participate in a friendly(Indoors of course) on Friday thanks to the invitation from Shotton Steel under 9's. This, if anything taught us a lesson in the difference between indoor and outdoor football. We were slaughtered in the first game by a team who trains at this facility during the winter and are familiar with the intensity of the indoor game. That's not taking anything away from Shotton who have a very good team, and our thanks go to Mike and Stuart for arranging the game. We did improve as the session progressed (they did let us have an extra player though) and the guys kept their heads up, although there were a few 'red' faces about. We had a full squad of players on the night which also included a new player, so with a lot of rotation both with the squad members and positions, I am sure everybody had the necessary time out to catch their breath.
P.S. We secured a payment of £65.00 from the 'Bag Packing' stint at Asda, thanks to Elaine's persuasive skills.
Also, thanks again to all those who took part.
This went towards the cost of entry to the Summer Tournaments which came in at £85.00
See you all at training!!
